The Foundation’s cultural projects
To support and stimulate creativity, principally to develop heritage objects.
- The Fête du Sanglier, which took place on the Illens site in September 2001 and which had a lasting impact on the region, attracting over 7000 visitors.
- Comptoir gruérien 2002: honoured guest. Over 130,000 visitors who were able to appreciate the many facets of the Foundation that was able to put on a succession of events.
- The Tourbillon de la Chimère: creation of a mediaeval dance troupe, mostly hired for mediaeval festivals.
- The Compagnie de Mézaïl created to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the City of Fribourg in 2007. This company also takes part in events of a mediaeval nature.
- The magic Path of the Legends of the Gruyère region: creation of a mediaeval village.
- Living crib at Illens. Creation, on two occasions, of a living crib on the Illens site. Huge popular successes.
- Creation and marking of the Path of the Knights of Rondmons, connecting Romont in Switzerland, via Romainmôtier and Burgundy, with Cluny Abbey in France 300 km on foot. Work in progress.
